I have learnt that sometimes phoning the head office doesn't mean you get concrete information. Remember how I lamented over the Uniqlo Designers Invitation Project collections not being available in the UK, as told by the "helpful" (emphasis on the inverted commas) staff at Uniqlo's UK head office. Well then a helpful reader informed me that the stuff was being sold in the Kingston branch in London.
So I headed down to the Regents Street flagship branch and sure enough in the window was a huge display for the Designers Invitation Project. Even stranger was that the collection by Nicholas Andreas Taralis had arrived as well as the Felipe Oliveira Baptista stuff. The Taralis collection hasn't even hit Japan yet (not until 6th October)! So I snapped up the Baptista dress in black as well as a Taralis paper bag waist skirt and poloneck - all for £50.
I knew Uniqlo UK wouldn't be so stupid as to turn down designer collaborated stock since the British high street is now awash with lower-priced designer collections.
