Christopher Kane's debute LFW spring summer 2007 collection really stuck out in my mind. It's one of those collections that would illicit a love/hate reaction. The criticism of Kane's design aesthetic being 'dated', 'tacky', 'overly-sexy' and 'neon' are exactly the reasons why I love it. So I did a mid-month pick me up by putting together a Christopher Kane-inspired outfit. Ok ok, it's not fantastically neon, it lacks the intricate detailing and it is just about as make-shift as you get but I suppose it's a milder, more wearable version of the real thing. Therefore much more suitable for real life.
AZONA dusky pink lace shirt, Moschino Cheap & Chic grey cotton ruffled corset, vintage 80's lycra dress (picked this up for 2 pounds in a charity store - my cheap foray into body conscious wear), H&M cream puffball skirt underneath, Uniqlo belt w/ seat belt clasp
