When I posted about House of Holland's fashion groupie t-shirts back in September, I did anticipate that a bit of a fast uptake would occur. Those t-shirts have been out and about more times than I can count. It seemed when someone commented that they had hit a goldmine with these t-shirts, they really hit the nail on the head. Now Henry Holland will be taking House of Holland to the catwalk at the Fashion Fringe show in February. Let's remind ourselves that it is just a line of t-shirts but with a big possiblity for expansion purely for because they are a bit tongue in cheek. In fact, the backlash has already started with Radar Online naming these t-shirts as one of the top five most pretentious looks. I'm a little wary of these sort of nay-saying lists since there are always exceptions so why write it off with negative disdain? Ok, I'll admit I am also now one of those House of Holland groupies since over Christmas, someone bought me a limited version from Dover Street Market that says 'Cum Again, Christopher Kane.' in black on neon green. I intend to prance about London in it.
Backlash aside, House of Holland have now moved to rhyming with household designers for Urban Outfitters UK which are now available online, so now I expect these to really multiply on the streets, at parties, in clubs, anywhere, everywhere....
