Why do I keep on harping on about Bang Bang in every question that people ask me about shopping in London? Because bona fide bar-gains like this one occurs every so often. I spied this Josh Goot layered-pastel dress from the S/S 08 collection for £80 in the Berwick Street Bang Bang before Christmas and it literally took all of my self-restraint to stop myself from buying it because of all that Crimbo gift, generosity, thinking-about-others-and-not-myself stuff...
After a bit of research, it turns out that the dress is on sale at Browns for £250, reduced from the original price of £650 (definitely not worth THAT figure...). I physically slapped my forehead and said 'Double damn!' to myself in a slapstick manner for not snapping it up. However yesterday, I popped in again and there it was reduced further to £65. I don't know who donated it and accepted a lower than low price for it to be sold in Bang Bang at the tenth of the retail price but I'm a happy bunny for it because pricing/lable aside, it's those colours that got me initially. You can take it apart so that it becomes a top and a dress but they're best worn together so that those layers of colours can ripple around the bod (and ripple it did today as it's quite windy...)...
