This is a bit old news for some, but as I was picking up what seemed like the 100th can of baked beans today for a meal, it occurred to me that I'm in a pay packet pickle moment again which prompted me to seek out Indonesian-designer Nina Nikicio's email about her second line Oneandahalf. A collection of pieces that Nina means for you to play with, detaching, draping and twisting as you wish. Not a groundbreaking concept of course, but the affordability suddenly makes you perk up a lot more when the range is pitted at USD19 to USD 109. Oh and according to their blog post, they ship worldwide so I'd contact Nina via their comments. That certainly puts Oneandahalf into that 'low street' category I talked about; i.e. pieces that whilst have direction and concept behind them, aren't being pimped above and beyond people's reach. Several pieces here or there weaving in and out of people's wardrobes would all come out styled in a completely different way because of the neutrality of the pieces and their versatility. The 'half' in the name might therefore refer to a percentile in everybody's wardrobe, the percentile that binds and fills out outfits in unexpected ways.
**EDIT** I accidentally missed off the 9 off the USD10 so the range is USD19-USD109. This was the information I was given. Please do let me know if this isn't the case.
