A fair few bloggers' pinings of newish shoe label La Rare culminating in the latest post by Queen Michelle, finally prompted me to enquire about their A/W 09-10 collection which has thrown up images that are a continuation of La Rare's sculptural shoe feats. The designer Nathalie Elharrar has taken her shoe past of designing for the likes of Thierry Mugler, Paule Ka and Lagerfeld Gallery to good use and now just needs a few more international/online stockists to get more people's feet LaRare-d (if you have the bucks or course as shoe prices run up to EUR1700!). I'm rather intrigued by the logo of La Rare which features silhouettes of two centaurides. I'm pretty much imagining Fantasia's centaurides, significantly sex-ed up with these shoes over their hooves, in the drawing style of Guy Peelaert and Jean Claude Forest (references of Elharrar).
