I don't type like this: &%*&)£(%, often and really with about three hours sleep everynight and staying in with sad room service, quite literally that is all I can muster in terms of typing.
Still, as I hang my head in shame whilst staring at the chicken printed wallpaper in my bathroom, I felt dutybound to type something more coherent, picture heavy and err hopefully readers coming here won't think I've lost the plot entirely as I've barely posted anything of note recently.
A slightly joyful outfit post was supposed to on the way but whilst there are streetstyle photographers aplenty, and I've kind of lost count how many times people have asked for a photo (this isn't self-congratulation by the way... they ask EVERYONE for a photo...)...I sadly have none that are in my possession.
Days have passed and deets are in order so I'll pony up some of these anyway even though you're all rolling your eyes shrewdly and clearly getting fashion week tidbits from sites that err... update regularly, on the clock. That said, this is for my benefit so I don't have to feel like the chicken on my wallpaper is laughing at my incompetence. I mean, it's an illustrated chicken for god's sake!
Why petting fabrics can be so good, especially when it concerns this Louise Gray A/W 09 skirt...
Yes, Tavi is in town and quite literally causing a paparazzi frenzy. We met and did a simul-shot with our matching cameras.
I haven't a clue who this lady is and I've been trying to find out but her deliberately overly gauche bling and puffy black ensemble here was fascinating me during the Ruffian show...
Ideeen came up with these African-print inspired cut-outs that I really loved.... that and their mesh leggings embroidered with chunky gems...
Kristin of The Clothes Whisperer's shoulders here reminded me that I need to go to Kokon to Zai when I'm back in London and get some Marjan Pejoski
I love love LOVE that Preen has a) bought back that particular shade of pepto bismol pink that I adored from previous collections and b) they've done this silk ruching thing that is topiary-like (their words, not mine!)...
Am wondering whether I could wear a deconstructed trench skirt of this proportion, as seen at Risto. Definitely going to be buying into the summer glove option he did as well where they're really sheer and are printed digitally...
I can't quite express how much I loved Ohne Titel's S/S 10 collection as there was that patchwork of different fabric techniques that I loved from the S/S 09 collection, except here the lines are cleaner, more refined and controlled and basically if the dress goes in Liberty (very very NEARLY had a moment of craziness and bought one of their S/S 09 dresses when they were on sale...), I'd definitely hark back to ye-old Style Bubble days and do changing room pics...

I did a bit a poor rendition of Jak and Jil by taking this photo of Tommy's glorious studded Christian Louboutin loafers paired with Zara grey jersey tailored trousers (note to the boyf: please go to Zara menswear and pick these up for me... ta very muchy!). Sadly I think Tommy lost one of the studs at the tip of the shoe but hopefully the ppl and Loub can help him out and fix it...
Now I'm not sure whether it was fortunate or UN-fortunate that on the day of the Alexander Wang show, I chose to don my vintage black aviator's leather cap. As soon as this brown version trooped out of the show, my friends and I giggled about it because it sort of looked like I had either gotten a black version for free to wear to the show or that I was some sort of fashion Mystic Meg and was ahead of the game somehow. Needless to say post-show, when I went backstage, some people gave my head some very odd looks indeed...
Oh and here are some bagged up shoes from Wang...
I am DYING to see a guy pull off Thom Browne's black pailette finale piece... Jean-Paul perhaps? // I'm strangely fascinated by this pink netting ensemble at Y-3... it's precisely my favourite shade of pink but it is inspired by a football goal net.... hmmm... the mind boggles!
Gerlan Jeans show made me feel like I was back in London again... Super Super vibes galore. I'm not sure how this was done but someone had taken apart these standard stripper PVC platforms and stuffed grass into the platform...
I don't whinge on about body issues that much given that I have no physical motivation to do anything about it... but still these Frank Tell pieces did make me consider for juuust a second renewing that very dusty gym membership (I went once and the gym bunnies scared me away...). Severe cut-outs galore!
And finally, Imran of The Business of Fashion was wearing a wonderful brooch by Justin Giunta, a name I hadn't heard of and he happens to be New York-based so I will most certainly investigate...
