Blog on indeed. Fun to see a print magazine devoted to bloggers - in a 'pop will eat itself' - sort of way (?) Exciting times indeed.

violetville

oh i love this! so beautiful! the drawings, the photos, you can tell a lot of love and respect went into this. "snapshot in time" - so apropos!

Fashion Minute

Excellent! It's fun to observe another DIY loop back into the feedback of fashion.

Oh I feel like an idiot for not knowing Jennine is the founder of IFB. Looks like a fantastic magazine.

tara

wowwww i want this magz, where i can buy ???

nicolethen

woah!!! it's AMAZING. it's so pretty like every page can be framed and become art on the wall...so cool

KD

YES! It seems worth the steep price for such an awesome magazine! You totally deserve the cover. :-) And its so refreshing to read/see a magazine that takes this "Let's work together and be super cool together" approach to fashion blogs as opposed to "Blogs are silly" or the more gimmicky (though understandable for the medium, but far from ideal) "Guest blogger this week! And I've forgotten who it is already". I hope that made sense.

Brigadeiro

BRILLIANT sketches! What an amazing mag!!! Wish I could get my hands on it...

Isabel

Oh my gosh, the art is absolutely fantastic! Though I have to say, the subtitle of the article the wrote on you is kinda cheesy. I'm sure they could've come up with something better than "a bubble not to be popped".

Valerie

Love!I think I might need to buy this! All the pictures are amazing looking.

Melissa

love the art. I really want to buy this.

ed hardy

Oh my gosh, the art is absolutely fantastic! Though I have to say, the subtitle of the article the wrote on you is kinda cheesy

Caroline

It looks like a really good magazine, though @28 is a bit too much for the student budget.
But you are good Suzy, very good.

Looks like a great issue, I wonder if it can be bought online? That last article certainly looks interesting and I love to read any analysis of the blogging community. Speaking of blogs, would you be able to update your link to mine, it's now www.iwantyoutoknow.co.uk
Thanks

whoahhhh that's very lovely. must be neat to have someone paint you. perhaps if mainstream magazines were as nice as this they wouldn't be in such a pickle. (these are IDLE speculations, I really don't have the faintest idea) kiss kiss

Laura

I love how fashion bloggers are finally being recognized for the voices and influence they have, though at times I feel that even the fashion blogosphere has a velvel rope...anywho...
I have to get this magazine, and congrats on being featured! (and on the cover)

Roz

That looks like a completely extraordinary magazine! The sketches, the thoughtful writing, everything.
I'll start with the actual art. The varying styles are truly beautiful, especially those sketches of you. Wow, I would so love to do something like that! (I'm really interested in fashion design and drawing at the moment.) I think they paid tribute to some amazing bloggers there, and I also think it's amazing how we can now set up our own personal communication platform through blogging. And as you said, you have no idea how this maight influence people and what might happen because of it! Woah, long comment there.. I think I'll stop rambling now.

It's true what you said about this sort of publication being a real milestone for fashion blogs/bloggers. Not that the blogs themselves arent credible enough, but the recognition that bloggers have been getting lately from the wider scope of the fashion world is just amazing. And that owning a magazine like this is truly a snapshot in time, and a collectors item for all of us who spend waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on the internet (woohoo, over here!). There's NOBODY who would be better suited for this cover, as I still consider you THE fashion blogger (like Artistotle is considered THE philosopher... idk, these are the strange kind of things I think about...) Anyways, a congratulations are surely in order and I also just want to say that you make me personally proud at how far you've come and that you are getting the attention you deserve. Blogging may seem unrewarding and solitary at times, but I know that you have affected the way so many people feel about fashion... including myself. If I never found your blog 2 and a half years ago, I'd still be reading Teen Vogue as my only source of fashion input... and that's a good thing.

the question however is not what makes a successfull blog these days, but what a "good" one is. commonly misinterpreted and often based just on the qualitiy of pictures... furthermore as bloggers post about the lack of creativity in designers creations eg they trouble to express their personal accounts in a way that justifies them sharing their thoughts...

Archive Notes

  • As I post so frequently, the archive is organised by week but this blog has been up and running since March 2006 so if you want to read from the ye olde beginning, just keep going back through the weeks or alternatively, go through the archives via Category.

  • It's back to ol' YouTube vids then... I actually prefer the Rusty Egan remix of this track to the original but this will do... the video is a lot of fun...
