>> "They grow, they bloom, they fade. You can't hold on to them for ever. Fashion is like that too in a way - it comes and it goes. They are symbolic for richness, romance. They capture people because of their smell, their appearance. They enhance emotion, create emotion even. Just like fashion does."
The Antwerp-based florist Mark Colle divulged a little about the relationship between flowers and fashion in an interview I did for Dazed Digital. You'll know Colle through his recent set collaborations with Raf Simons on both his last Jil Sander show and his Dior Haute Couture debut, where flowers weren't just there for ornamental purpose. They've become regular Tumblr and inspiration fodder ever since their debut, garnering as much attention as the clothes themselves.
